“ From Aug 2024 Beaks will always be my go to for chicken waffles. They make their waffles fresh and their chicken is always moist. Whatever they’re doing, they’re doing it well. For less than 20, you can get a full order of chicken waffles and a drink. It’s always worth the money. I will be returning as usual! ”

“ Amazing chicken. Moist. Tender. Crispy. Has that really classic perfect chicken bite--springy , yet yielding. My date said that the chicken and waffles was the best he had since being in the US and getting a southern style version. The gravy was seasoned yet not too salty, the syrup was carmelly perfect and not too saccharine. The portion was balanced (which is surprisingly hard to come by with C&W). The only critique he had was that the little baskets they serve it in are really hard to cut on. As much as the diner style basket is cute and nostalgic, it's not really the most functional for that kind of meal. The basket, however, was fine for my chicken sandwich. I got the one with a habenaro sauce which was excellent! But! It did that thing where all the sauce is gorgeous on the front, but then over the course of the sandwhich is didn't really have any. If I got it again I would ask for some sauce on the side to dip, because I understand its hard to keep sauce on something that you literally squish with your hands as you eat it. The chicken was excellent and crispy on my burger as well, and I loved the little pickles that came with it. They helped cut the heavy flavours that come with fried chicken and cheese. The service was very nice. No comments there. The vibe was a little... sad? I know its an old building and they're going for a diner look, but I think the walls could use some new paint or something. Don't need to change out the tables or benches because they are cute, but something should be updated to have it feel a bit less dingey. ”

“ The hype is definitely worth it. Don't walk, run to get a chicken sandwich. The chicken is amazing - tender, moist, and cooked perfectly. The batter is crispy, yet light. Everything is so flavourful, from the bun to the side of pickles. The fries remind me of going to the beach as a kid; getting a paper bag full and dousing them with vinegar. So much nostalgia, but I'm fairly certain even without it, they're amazing. And the donuts. Dear lord, the donuts. If they're there when you arrive - don't hesitate, just get one (or 5). On top of the food being great, the staff are friendly, kind, and very helpful. P.S I didn't get a photo of the sandwich because I ate it too quickly. ”

“ This place does good chicken and more. I had a chicken sandwich with coleslaw and spicy BBQ. The chicken was great and BBQ sauce next level. I also had their chicken chili soup, very hearty and filling. Their coffee is also caliber coffee, so it's actually good. Definitely recommend for fried chicken lovers. ”
